The first two Super Bowls that Jim Nantz and Tony Romo worked together for CBS lacked drama. “What a thrill to be able to say that we witnessed an overtime Super Bowl game and what will go down in history as one of the greatest games of all time and the longest Super Bowl game of all time. ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Mother Nature might not be through complicating the Buffalo Bills’ playoff schedule, leaving coach Sean McDermott assessing his options on Tuesday. McDermott said the team, for now, is still scheduled to practice on Wednesday and Thursday, while monitoring a forecast that projects a lake-effect storm dumping nearly 2 feet of snow on the Buffalo region. It’s too early to determine whether officials would impose a travel ban, which would potentially prevent Bills players from driving to their facility. The Bills are also dealing with a rash of injuries, with at least nine players’ status uncertain. Our team’s been resilient, and our players have done a phenomenal job of stepping up when someone has gone down,” he added.

Mandatory Credit: Kareem Elgazzar-USA TODAY SportsJan 22 (Reuters) - Quarterback Joe Burrow overcame driving snow and a hostile road environment, leading the Cincinnati Bengals past the favored Buffalo Bills 27-10 and reaching the AFC Championship game for the second straight year. "Complete game from everybody - offense, defense and special teams," said Burrow, who threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns. The Bengals will return next Sunday to Kansas City for a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game against the Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, which the Bengals won 27-24 in an overtime thriller. Cincinnati running back Joe Mixon praised his quarterback for living up to his nickname of Joe Cool in Sunday's pressure-packed game. "Joe Burrow was unbelievable," Mixon said.
Jan 22 (Reuters) - Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin received a standing ovation from fans at the Bills-Bengals game on Sunday when video screens showed him in attendance at the contest less than three weeks after he suffered an on-field cardiac arrest. Prior to kickoff, the Bills tweeted a video of the 24-year-old arriving at stadium for the game with his mother, father and younger brother. Hamlin has made a remarkable recovery since he collapsed moments after making a tackle at a game between the Bengals and Bills in Cincinnati on Jan. 2. He had to have his heartbeat restored on the field as stunned players from both teams cried, prayed and hugged. Franco Harris, a Hall of Fame running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers known for one of the most famous plays in American football history and considered one of the NFL's most iconic athletes, has died. Representatives for the NFL and the Steelers did not immediately respond to requests for comment from NBC News. He played in nine Pro Bowls, five AFC championships and four Super Bowls, according to the Hall of Fame. Harris' scoop of a deflected pass and subsequent run for the winning touchdown — forever known as the "Immaculate Reception" — has been voted the greatest play in NFL history. He should be measured by something more special, such as the sharing of teammates and fans," according to the Hall of Fame.
